5 Celebrities Who Lost Weight

We often hear about celebrities losing weight or gaining weight in order to look a certain part for a movie.  Celebrities have also been busy losing weight just because they want to feel better about themselves and get healthy.  Here are some thoughts on five such stars that have changed their look by slimming down.

Raven Symone

Raven Symone was criticized for her weight back in 2009, but she’s since lost a good deal of weight.  Trimming 70 pounds off her figure, Raven has never felt better.

“It feels good to put something on and not have to wear a girdle underneath!” says Raven.

She lost all that weight with the help of nutritionist Philip Goglia, who put her on a diet of six small meals a day.  She also exercises three or more times per week, with kickboxing being her favorite workout.

Tim McGraw

Famous country star/movie star Tim McGraw feels younger since losing 40 pounds.

“You can’t eat as much and you have to workout twice as much,” he said of getting older.

That’s why the 43-year-old eats less burgers and runs 5 miles before every show.

Megan McCain

This 26-year-old columnist is now 15 pounds lighter than she used to be.  She admits that she’s not super skinny, but she feels healthier.  She accomplished her weight loss by giving up pasta and white bread.  She also enjoys hiking.

Gerard Butler

Forty-one-year-old actor Gerard Butler maintains his new slim body by eating healthy and by working out, but the vice he must keep a tight lid on is the urge to pig out late at night.

Mandy Moore

Beautiful Mandy Moore has not really been in the media for her weight as much as celebrities have, but she has managed to slim down, too.  A friend reports that Mandy’s weight loss is due to a conscious effort to eat healthier and to do Pilates a few times a week.  She also enjoys hiking.
