Jeremy Piven: Diet and Exercise

Jeremy Piven stars as the money-hungry cut-throat Hollywood celebrity manager on the HBO hit series, Entourage.  But in real life he’s a down to earth guy who is often seen running in the neighborhood in Los Angeles, does paddle boarding and practices yoga.  He’s actually really good at yoga, and by the looks of the photo above he probably lifts weights too considering the size of those biceps! In the cover story of Men’s Health Magazine, Jeremy opens up about his desires to be healthy, maintain balance and nurture life.  In regard to  practicing yoga he said,
“I loved the way it made me feel. It opens you out and you get great twang. It’s incredible. Ari’s [his character in Entourage] got some quick-twitch anger, and to do that repeatedly you have to come from a place of stillness. It´s so funny because I´m naturally kind of calm. To be healthy you have to have those dualities in your life.”
In regard to his fish poisoning scare that happened a few months ago he explained,
“I was brought to my knees with a health situation.  It was so interesting because I thought I was living as healthy as I could, I didn’t eat anything but fish for 20 years and it kind of manifested in such a way that I had
chronic fatigue, mercury poisoning and all of those things resulted in me not being able to get out of bed.  If you work without stopping and don’t balance your life and nurture the rest of your life you’re going to be brought to your knees and that’s basically what happened to me.”
Fortunately, Jeremy is now well-balanced when it comes to both exercise and diet.

Kate Hudson is always in dynamite shape and in her latest movie, “Bride Wars” she looks fantastic. Interestingly enough, her trainer, Nicole Stuart, actually had a small role in the film as a receptionist. When it comes to Kate’s exercise routine her trainer has her on a specific weekly schedule where she is constantly shaking things up in order to target the different muscle groups. According to her trainer,

“If we run one day for 20 minutes, the next day is a 30 minute run with Pilates. Or if we do stairs one day for 30 minutes, the next day we do an hour and a half Pilates class and then a high pace 15-20 minute run.”

In preparation for her role as Emma in the movie “Bride Wars,” Anne Hathaway stepped up her routine with New York City based trainer, David Kirsh. She wanted to look her best since she would be co-staring with the svelte Kate Hudson. Even though Anne has a lean figure herself, she wanted to shape and tone her thighs, arms and abdominal muscles. According to her trainer,

“She was comfortable with the way she looked, but she knew should be sharing the screen with Kate Hudson and wanted to dial it up.”
