Adriana Lima’s Zero Carbs Diet and Exercise Routine for Victoria Secret

Adriana Lima looked absolutely amazing while presenting the $2 million dollar Fantasy Bra on the runway for Victoria’s Secret fashion show. The pressure to look flawless got her to embark on a strict diet and exercise routine almost 2 months before the actual show.

When she met up with over 20 fashion bloggers to celebrate the expensive Fantasy Bra, Lima revealed it’s not that easy to keep her body in top shape, considering she’s also a mother.

Lima explained that one month and a half before every Victoria’s Secret show, she embarks on a restrictive “zero carbs” diet and workout program. She has her own nutritionist to make sure the diet she chooses suits her lifestyle.

“Because everybody’s different — that’s why I have a nutritionist,” she says. “I go there, and he checks my blood, my breathing, everything to make sure what’s going to work for your body, you know? For me, for example, if I eat chocolate or have dairy I will feel puffy. Sometimes carbs make me feel puffy — it makes me swollen.”

For lunch and dinner she eats grilled or steamed green vegetables or four ounces of whichever type of protein she prefers. In between meals, every three hours, she has a protein shake called Metagenics, or a cereal bar. Although this is a restrictive diet, Lima says she loves her diet and feels healthier.

When it comes to her workout, the supermodel goes to the gym every day where she works out for two hours. Her program includes boxing and jumping rope.

“Working out should be a part of everybody’s routine,” she says. “I know sometimes you don’t have time — that’s why I love jumping rope, because you can take it with you anywhere and you don’t need to do it, like, one hour. You can do it ten minutes and it’s like 45 minutes of running.”

And she’s not planning on giving up her intense workouts any time soon and plans to stay in top shape and keep exercising even after she gets older.
