Alexandra White’s Weight Loss on Biggest Loser

Alexandra White became the first contestant voted off reality TV show The Biggest Loser this week, and shared her weight-loss motivation tips on The Today Show.
“Being 309 pounds was a crazy experience,” the 20-year-old accounting student told Al Roker on the show. “It held me back from everything; fitting into class seats, dating, and just living my life. I’m really so glad that I’m not there anymore.”
A short snippet from the interview shows Jillian Michaels, one of the show’s two intense trainers, screaming at White in an attempt to motivate her in the gym. Although White says she wouldn’t have preferred that method of motivation, it must have worked seeing that she lost 73 pounds.
Since returning home from the show, White has cut out carbohydrates from her diet and is sticking to healthy protein and vegetables. Being at home now, White has also helped her mother start to get in shape and overcome her obesity as well.
“Really push yourself and really believe in yourself because weight-loss can be done,” is White’s message to those who are also struggling with their weight. “I never really believed in myself and I never lost the weight. But it truely truely can be done. Push yourself, educate yourself and the change will come.”
