Alicia Keys’ Healthy Eating Habits

R&B singer and Grammy award winner Alicia Keys is in tip-top shape. In previous interviews she has said that she doesn’t eat meat and dairy and now she says she doesn’t eat fast food either. After she saw the documentary called Food Inc, she decided to swear off fast food for life. Without meat, dairy or fast food she appears to have the perfect diet but she did admit she has a weakness. She explained,

“Delicious, warm soft bread is an indulgence of mine.”

She goes on to say that she likes to eat foods that make her feel good afterward so she chooses foods like almond milk, grilled fish, spinach and she’ll put aloe vera in her juices. She did say that she likes cleanses too but they have to be done correctly and with discipline to get the right results.

Keys healthy eating habits started a long time ago. We often think that once people reach celebrity status they instantly diet and exercise differently, but that is not the case for this rock star. She said,

“I’ve been a healthy eater for awhile. My friend’s father had this incredibly candid conversation with me about food when I was about 12 and that changed everything.”
