Anne Hathaway’s Workout Routine

In preparation for her role as Emma in the movie “Bride Wars,” Anne Hathaway stepped up her routine with New York City based trainer, David Kirsh. She wanted to look her best since she would be co-staring with the svelte Kate Hudson. Even though Anne has a lean figure herself, she wanted to shape and tone her thighs, arms and abdominal muscles. According to her trainer,
“She was comfortable with the way she looked, but she knew should be sharing the screen with Kate Hudson and wanted to dial it up.”
Three months prior to the filming of “Bride Wars” Anne started a weight-training program. She spent 60 to 90 minutes a day of weight training mixed with work on the rowing machine and the elliptical. For her weight training, she added heavier weights to what she normally does and included balance exercises such as one-legged dead lifts that challenged her strength, flexibility and core muscle group. In the end, Anne looks great and her trainer David Kirsh says,
“Overall her confidence has improved. Her body is leaner, sexier and more toned.”
