Beyonce, always fit and always fabulous, gave some diet advice to the readers of SELF Magazine. One would think that since she works out five days a week, runs miles, dances for hours and does a zillion lunges and squats that she could eat whatever she wants. But her diet tips show a healthy balance of eating right and allowing for a few splurges from time to time. First, she advised to eat five or six small meals a day in order to ward off cravings.
“If I’m sitting around at home, I’m not going to want the 100-calorie Oreos,” she told SELF. “I’m going to want the real Oreos and milk. Staying busy…I have more discipline.”
Her next tip is to allow for those indulgences.
“Comfort food helps. I allow myself one bad meal every week. Yesterday, I had pizza and wine. There’s too much good out there to never indulge.”
When it comes to healthy foods she is sure to eat lots of chicken and fish and she jazzes it up with ketchup or hot sauce. She also mentioned her ‘Sasha Salad’ made of lettuce, tomato, avocado, jalapenos and chicken breast. Lastly, she mentioned that she feels she’s at her best when she’s not too thin or too heavy.
“I feel best when I’m not really thin and not really heavy, when I’m still curvy,” she told SELF. “I really believe that everyone is supposed to be different, and whatever is a natural weight for you is usually what looks best.”
