Biggest Loser Ali Vincent: Health Tips
Season 5 Biggest Loser winner Ali Vincent is blogging for Ok Magazine during the current season 9 of the reality show. In Week One five contestants were immediately eliminated and Ali was quick to sympathize and reflect on the stories of contestants and readers who have shared their stories with her. Likewise, Ali has decided to embrace 2010 as an opportunity to encourage people to set goals and try to make the impossible, possible, just like the contestants on the show. As for her 2010 goal she explained,
“For me, I have committed to do the Boston Marathon. I don’t know if your goal will be a weight loss goal, a relationship goal, a career goal or a fitness goal but it MUST scare you even to actually just voice it.”
She said that once we’ve defined our goals be sure to tell everyone about it in order to hold ourselves accountable. In addition, we need to have a game plan for when we’re thrown a ‘curveball’ and have to work even harder to maintain our goal. Just like the contestants who are eliminated early, they still have a chance to lose weight back home and then come back to campus at the end. She reflected on her time on the show and when she could see that very curveball straight in front of her. She explained,
“I just about died when Alison Sweeney said “the last two teams to finish the challenge of cycling 26.2 miles would be eliminated and asked leave the Biggest Loser campus immediately.”
Apart from Ali’s fitness goal tip she suggested to write down everything you eat and do to reflect on where you are in terms of health and fitness.
