Biggest Loser Maria Ventrella’s Weight Loss of 57 Pounds
Maria Ventrella may have been eliminated from the current season of Biggest Loser but that isn’t stopping this 51-year-old corporate travel agent from staying on track and losing weight even though she’s not at the ranch. Maria told People magazine that even though she’s home she’s continuing on her weight loss journey because while at the ranch she realized that she finally felt good and was happy and she wants to continue this new feeling. When asked what she learned while on the show she replied by saying she learned how to cook and eat properly. She said,
“They did teach me a lot about changing the fat — we cook with a lot of oils and fry, but I don’t do that anymore. It’s a lot of baking and broiling [now].”
Another benefit is that Maria has actually rubbed off on her family and they too are exercising and losing weight. Her husband has lost 42 pounds and her nieces and son are exercising. She said,
“I have nieces on my husband’s side that have all started exercising. Even my son’s friends — they’re all at the gym with me and it’s so weird because I’m out with these young guys but I keep up with them. I feel pretty good!”
Maria has been busy shopping for new clothes because she can no longer wear her plus-size outfits. She’s even had friends tell her that she’s lost her butt! Good for Maria and may she have success in her weight loss.
