Biggest Loser Season 9 Has Biggest Contestant Ever
Biggest Loser season 9 premieres January 5th on NBC and we will be watching some of the biggest contestants in the history of the series. So big, that they have had to invest in new gym equipment, such as a water-based treadmill, to accommodate for the larger contestants. Season 9 is couples-based, so we’ll see lots of best friends and fellow family members trying to lose weight together.
There is already talk about some of the stand-out contestants such as Michael Ventrella (who will compete with his mother) who weighs 526 pounds therefore outweighing the show’s biggest contestant ever Shay Sorrells by 50 pounds. Then there are cousins Sam and Koli who together weigh 775 pounds and twins James and John who weigh 969 pounds. There are two father-daughter teams, the Hamptons and the Houghs, and they will surely add that emotional touch and have all of us reaching for the tissue box from time to time.
