Britney Spears Denies Poor Body Image Reports
Pop princess Britney Spears has had enough of the second-rate tabloids claiming they’ve interviewed the star and then releasing false statements. On her personal Twitter account she refers to these stories from Look magazine, the Globe and the National Enquirer as ‘bulls—’. In a recent Look article the 28-year-old is quoted as saying,
“I’m such a perfectionist, which means I’m never satisfied. I always strive for things to be better. I think you can be happy with the person on the inside but on the outside, you’re always striving for more. But that’s how you end up driving yourself crazy.”
The article goes on to claim that Britney doesn’t see herself as sexy because only people with confidence are sexy and she doesn’t feel confident. It’s good to see that celebrities like Spears know when a tabloid has gone too far and they release a statement or even threaten a lawsuit when they feel their names have been defamed. Apart from Britney, stars such as Kate Winslet, Kim Kardashian and Mischa Barton are quick to correct the press when they have failed to speak the truth.
