Brook Shields is back in the spotlight with her hit series, Lipstick Jungle. Back in the day she burst on the scene with her infamous Calvin jean ads “if these jeans could talk I would be roomed.”

Today she tells Shape magazine she recently gained 9 lbs since her bunion surgery that’s left her unable to exercise for 8 weeks. She reveals her favorite exercise for weight loss..
“Spinning is the only way I ever lose weight. It’s purely about keeping my heart rate up and burning calories.”

Brook Shield’s Diet

A busy working mom she grazes on food throughout the day sharing meals with her kids and having a normal-sized dinner.

Breakfast
eggs, whole-wheat toast and fruit smoothies and fruit

Lunch
bowl of organic mac and cheese (shares with her kids)

Midday Snack
Greek yogurt with honey

Dinner
Brooke enjoys dining out with friends when she gets a chance, with Indian high on her list of favorites.

Brooke’s diet tips for slimming down include laying off the processed carbs: pasta, bread and dessert. She also dials up the workouts.

My take…
Brooke at age 43, looks absolutely fabulous and no doubt understands how to keep trim. Her Secrets?

Grazing is great for weight loss helping to curb cravings and lowering overall calorie intake. Cutting out the calorie rich processed carbs is also a great way to lose weight..  she’s obviously indulges here and there with things like “mac and cheese” but understands her limits and practices portion control.
