Carrie Underwood: Diet & Exercise
Country singer Carrie Underwood looks as cute as ever on the cover of the January issue of Self Magazine. Inside she talks about romance with hockey player Mike Fisher, her foundation that benefits her hometown as well as her diet and exercise routine. In past interviews she has revealed that she keeps a daily food diary and she’s also a vegetarian. And even though she has a personal trainer she admits that she loves getting in shape with the Jillian Michaels exercise DVDs. She said,
“I have Exercise TV on cable. Jillian Michaels’s videos will kick your butt. She’s my trainer and she doesn’t even know it.”
The singer also mentioned that if she’s feeling frustrated she’ll hit a punching bag which is a stress-reliever and at the same time she’s getting some exercise. Underwood likes to feel good about herself and her body and when she sees photos of herself and likes a particular body part she sees, she’ll work extra hard on keeping it that way. She explained,
“I’ll look at a photo and think, ‘My arms look great!’ — and then I go work out on my arms. Once you’re enjoying things about your body, you realize how much you want to keep them that way or make them better.”
As for Underwood’s diet, she has recently cut out sugars and soda and as a result her skin has cleared up and she has less breakouts.

I love Carrie for being herself, having her own style and giving back. She definitlely knows how to keep herself in shape. I’m so stoked that she’s going on tour in the Spring! I’ve already got my ticket to see her in Reno.
