Super star Carrie Underwood loves to exercise because it makes her feel strong and sexy.
There’s just something sexy about feeling strong,” Underwood says.
And, not only has it made her feel amazingly healthy, it has also helped her lose 20 pounds since she shot to fame as an American Idol winner back in 2005, now weighing in at an ultra slim 110 pounds.
Underwood works out regularly with a personal trainer, does isometric exercises, kick boxes, runs on the treadmill, and utilizes exercise DVDs. She especially loves working with the kettleball because it works so many different muscles at once.
When I gain weight, it’s in the spare-tire area,” she says. “I’ve told trainers abs are a physical impossibility for me. And every single time, they’re like, ‘Well, we’ll get you abs!’ So do I have them? No! But they’re as flat as they’re probably going to get.”
And, although her abs are not sculpted, she wants to keep them flat so she makes it a point to workout every morning even when she is maintaining a hectic schedule while on tour. Her early morning workouts keep her feeling energized all day long.
In addition to working out to stay energized, Carrie relies on healthy eating habits.
Once you get into a routine of eating healthy, it hurts twice as much when you fall off the wagon,” she says.
She loves to eat low sugar oatmeal when she is on the road and is a big pizza fan as well. However, she mostly maintains a low calorie vegetarian diet that includes foods such as veggie burgers or soy based sausages.Carrie Underwood, Celebrity Diets, Celebrity Workouts
