Alison Sweeney isn’t just an actress on Days of Our Lives and the host of The Biggest Loser, she’s also a wife and mother of two children. This week, she told OK! Magazine readers how she manages to juggle it all and stay fit. First off, she mentions that being healthy isn’t just about being skinny and feeling beautiful, but it’s also important in order to have a long life with family and friends. She explained that by changing her mindset, it gets her motivated to exercise because she wants to be a role model for her family and of course be with them for as long as possible. She said,

“That helps me make the choice on a Sunday morning to get up at 7, and go for a run ……. then then when I get home, I’ll bring fresh fruit from the Farmer’s Market and surprise everybody.”

Michelle Obama’s Chef Cooks Healthy For the First Family

Sam Kass is probably the most important chef in America right now. He’s the man who makes sure the first family get all their daily nutrients while helping Michelle Obama make important decisions to shape her school lunch nutrition program as well as looking after the White House kitchen garden.

But it’s not about specific dishes and courses for Sam. In a recent interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, the 29-year-old chef dedicates himself to a rounded food philosophy. As the White House’s assistant chef and food initiative coordinator he has a hand in influencing policy with the Department of Agriculture, but his primary objective is to make sure he safeguards the health of the family he cooks for. In the November issue of InStyle magazine supermodel Claudia Schiffer gives a few beauty tips.  Her ten tips are referred to as things she learned as a supermodel when it comes to being healthy, having great skin and staying in shape.  When it comes to her diet she is sure to travel with healthy snacks that are also energy boosters such as brown-rice crackers and packets of dry miso soup that are easier to carry in a bag.  She said,
“I always take two or three servings with me on international flights.  Plane food is never, ever a good idea.”
