<p>Earlier this month we reported on <a href="../levi-johnston-diet-and-exercise/">Levi Johnston</a>’s high-protein, low-carb diet in preparation for his photo shoot for <em>Playgirl</em> magazine. And now reports have surfaced that the 19-year-old father of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s grandchild is literally hunting his own protein – moose meat.</p>
<p><span id="more-5902"></span>Johnston’s trainer, Marvin Jones, told <em>People</em> magazine that moose meat is not only high in protein, it’s also very lean, and because the youngster is such an eager hunter, he collects his own meat. Marvin also went into detail as to Johnston’s exercise regime to prepare for <em>Playgirl</em>. Levi and Marvin hit the gym for 3 hours every day, 6 days a week with cardio training and rests in the sauna.</p>
<blockquote><p>“I’m not trying to give him a body builder’s look. He’s going to be more toned and more defined,” Marvin says. “I’d like to see him with rounder and more muscular shoulders, with a fuller chest. We’re going to firm his abs up, [and give him a] smaller waist.”</p></blockquote>
<p>Marvin, who only plans on working with Levi until the second week in November, says Levi is so committed to the training that he even got sick during his second week. But Marvin insists Levi is still having fun and the pair is eager to reveal all their hard work.</p>

<p><span id="more-5869"></span>Gerard calls his trainer-slash-nutritionist “The Enforcer” because he literally enforces the law as to what the <em>300</em> and <em>The Ugly Truth</em> star can and cannot eat.</p>
<blockquote><p>“I literally have people be hiding cupcakes for me,” Gerard told Bonnie on the show. “And I’d be like ‘Bring the cupcake under the trailer and on top of that thing behind the…’ Or I’d go into my fridge and stick the apple pie behind the orange juice.”</p></blockquote>
<p>The video is pretty funny, so you really shouldn’t feel that bad anymore. You’re only human.</p>

This week, Trista gave five diet tips to the readers of <em>People Magazine</em>, in particular, tips for moms who have had multiple pregnancies.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong><span id="more-5829"></span>1.</strong> Push the stroller.  Trista started out with 45 minutes a day.  She said,</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">&#8220;My double-stroller plus the two kids is about 70 pounds, so pushing that uphill is pretty hard.&#8221;</p>
</blockquote>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>2.</strong> Turn the house into a gym.  Trista and her trainer found household objects such as paint canes, crates and ski poles that she would use as weights.  While the kids were napping she could get a workout in without having to go to a gym.<br />
<strong>3.</strong> Keep track of calories.  Trista uses mycalorienumber.com<br />
<strong>4.</strong> Eat your protein.  Lower your carb intake and crank up the protein.  For example, you can still indulge in a cheeseburger but don&#8217;t eat the bun.<br />
<strong>5.</strong> Remember that supplements are just supplements.  The reality star admits to using them but doesn&#8217;t see them as the answer.  She said,</p>
<blockquote style="text-align: left;"><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve always believed there is no quick fix. A lot of people ask about it and say, &#8216;Oh, I&#8217;ve been taking them for a month and it hasn&#8217;t been doing anything,&#8217; and I say, &#8216;Have you been working out?&#8217; Because it has to be used in conjunction with working out if you are expending energy.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p><span id="more-5773"></span>While working on her new nutrition book, Jillian asked her followers if they had any healthy-cooking tips they&#8217;d like to share, then she shared her own too.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t buy your produce pre-cut. The air oxidizes the food faster and depletes its nutrients. Betcha didn&#8217;t know that. And now&#8230; back to work.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The 35-year-old reality TV trainer later<a href="http://twitter.com/JIllianMichaels"> tweeted</a> that it&#8217;s fine to buy frozen produce, but when it comes to lettuce, always pick from the top of the pile. According to Jillian&#8217;s chef Dr La Puma, the lights in the supermarket help boost the nutrients in the leaves.</p>

<p>Three years after visiting a disease prevention and well-being nutritionist (when she was first diagnosed with the life threatening disease), Sheryl still incorporates those healthy-eating habits in her daily diet.</p>
<blockquote><p><span id="more-5700"></span>&#8220;I eat salmon or other fish at least three times a week,&#8221; she told <em>Health</em>. &#8220;I eat a lot of walnuts, almonds, colorful vegetables, and prunes, which get such a bad rap but are loaded with antioxidants.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Aside from adding enough Omega 3s to her diet, the Grammy Award winner also keeps a &#8220;vat&#8221; of tomato soup or some sort of tomato sauce around the house because it contains lycopene, and she also drinks a lot of pomegranate juice. Sheryl says she eats Fiber One to get rid of &#8220;wastes.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Missouri native loves the outdoors and always finds time to fit in some kind of outdoor activity, whether it&#8217;s riding her bike or playing tennis and paddle surfing.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t love going to the gym, but I&#8217;ll do it if it&#8217;s rainy.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>The one food at the the top of the &#8220;anti-cancer&#8221; food chain would have to be cruciferous veggies. These are things like broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, arugula, and watercress. That peppery taste you find in these foods are the anti-cancer sulfur compounds at work. Btw, tomatoes contain lycopene which has been associated with reduced risks of prostate cancer.</p>
<p>As far as getting rid of &#8220;wastes&#8221; you&#8217;re better off with unprocessed fruits and veggies than with some packaged product like Fiber One.</p>

British actress and model <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/elizabeth-hurley-to-launch-organic-foods-line/">Elizabeth Hurley</a> has recently launched her own line of organic meats and foods.  She and husband Arun Nayar have a 400-acre organic farm and she has gone to great efforts to support her new company and the campaign for sustainable foods. <span id="more-5626"></span>Recently, it was revealed in the UK OK! Magazine that the actress keeps her svelte figure by practicing what she preaches and snacks on beef jerky and other dried cured meats to keep her sleek physique.  She said,</p>

<p>The two stars from the Fox drama <em>Dollhouse,</em> Dichen Lachman and Eliza Dushku, have shared some diet and exercise information with the readers of <em>Self Magazine</em> in the October issue.  They gave some great exercise tips for doing a <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/eliza-dushku-dichen-lachman-partner-workout/">partner workout</a> and they also shared some of their own tips.</p>
<p><span id="more-5424"></span>Dichen addressed the issue of working long hours and fatigue.  She believes that when a person is fit and maintains a healthy lifestyle he/she will be able to support his/her general health even during those times of having to work harder than usual.</p>
<p>As for Dichen&#8217;s workout she mentioned that she likes the partner workout because it acts as a substitute for gym equipment and having a partner keeps her motivated.  In addition, she gave examples of a few things she does to burn extra calories during the day.  She explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;There are some simple things I do that just keep me moving: walking up stairs instead of taking the lift, parking further away than usual from your destination and cleaning my own apartment.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p><span id="more-5419"></span>For Eliza exercise must be done properly and both the body and mind have to be given the right attention in order to get a good workout.  For example, she said that if her mind is clear she&#8217;ll have a good workout in comparison to those days when she has a &#8216;messy and clogged&#8217; mind.  She also sees proper technique a key to getting good results.  She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Weight training is especially important in addition to doing the exercises properly with correct alignment and a clean diet. It makes me burn more throughout my day and feel amazing.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Lastly, Eliza mentioned that she was always running around outside and playing sports with her brothers while growing up and she still sees that as key to her health now as an adult.</p>

<p><em>The Ghost Whisperer </em>actress has a very healthy body image, and although she has her days when she finds it hard to fit into her jeans, she doesn&#8217;t beat herself up about it. Hewitt simply says that she&#8217;s the shape is because she&#8217;s suppose to be, and if we all looked the same, we would be very boring.</p>
<p><span id="more-5205"></span>One of Hewitt&#8217;s diet tips is to never fill your fridge.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Instead of piling up food in my fridge that says &#8216;Come eat me!&#8217; I keep enough for only a couple of days,&#8221; she told the magazine. &#8220;And I rarely have treats around that might tempt me late at night, which is when I usually crave something really fattening.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Hewitt also learned a few fitness tips from her new boyfriend, fellow actor Jamie Kennedy. Kennedy helps Hewitt by inspiring her to eat a salad with each meal as well as load up on fruit, fish and vegetables. And she&#8217;s helped Kennedy to exercise more.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Last summer we were in Monaco. Every morning we ran for 40 minutes through the streets of Monte Carlo. It was an amazing way to see the city. Now when we travel, we try to explore the places by running.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
