Jenna Elfman: Pregnancy Diet
The former Golden Globe winner, two-time Emmy nominated actress and now the star of Accidentally on Purpose, Jenna Elfman, is pregnant with baby number two. Likewise, since she’s been pregnant once before she knows how to balance exercise, diet and cravings in order to keep healthy and fit while pregnant. At a charity event over the weekend she told People Magazine that she is past the cravings phase and now she just likes to eat in general. She jokes,
“I like stuffing food down my face.”

Tess Daly: Post Baby Diet

The Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has a stunning post-baby figure. She gave birth to her youngest daughter in May of 2009 and just six months later she’s doing a modeling campaign for La Senza lingerie. (see photo above) The 38-year-old claims that she didn’t follow a strict diet and nor was she a workout fanatic at the gym, instead she gave the old ‘high metabolism’ monologue that many celebrities like to tout. She told Heat Magazine that she keeps herself busy and never sits down to relax,
“I’m always running around, and I’ve got a fast metabolism.”
She also mentioned that she currently doesn’t go to a gym but she hopes to start soon. She will however do yoga and go swimming. Daly will soon be launching her own skincare product called, Daly Body.

It looks as if embattled pop star, Amy Winehouse, is on her way to her idea of the perfect body. The 26-year-old singer who has had a colorful history with substance abuse is packing on the pounds to achieve a “pin-up” figure.
The sober and clear-headed Amy has recently had breast implants, to give her a perkier chest after her addiction to alcohol and drugs ate away at her body. But now Amy wants to add curves to the rest of her body to go with her new assets, and is eating at least 3 000 calories a day. [Read more →]

Elizabeth Hurley’s Diet Drink of Choice?

Supermodel and actress Elizabeth Hurley is 44 years of age. She’s still ultra glamorous and that’s because she has learned to change her diet and eating habits as she has gotten older. She did admit that her eating habits have changed now that she’s over 40, but she recently revealed that her drinking habits have changed too. To keep her midriff trim she has switched from wine to vodka. She explained,
“I used to drink and awful lot of coffee, but I was told after the age of 40 you have to be careful with coffee and wine. Apparently that can be one of the reasons older women get bloated around their stomach.”

She no longer battles eating disorders, she recently ran the New York City marathon to support Edward Norton’s team, she also ran the Bizz Johnson Trail marathon and she has learned to eat right. Top 10 Useless Celebrity Health Therapies

There are plenty of alternative health treatments, diet plans and supplements that all get celebrity backing. The Kardashians for QuickTrim, Valerie Bertineli for Jenny Craig and the list goes on and on. The insurance firm Aviva surveyed 200 general practitioners to determine what health fads are ineffective and sometimes harmful. Dr. Douglas Wright of Aviva said that women are wasting their money on health fads. In addition, he said,
“What’s more worrying is that some [women] are opting for treatment trends rather than seeking medical advice – they might not be fashionable but tried and tested health routes are safer and more beneficial.”

Two-time Grammy award winner Melissa Etheridge was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. After surviving a lumpectomy and five rounds of chemotherapy and radiation in addition to working on stage through out the whole ordeal, Melissa is now healthy and thriving. She recently spoke with Self Magazine about how she kept a positive attitude during her treatments and how her diet has changed since beating cancer. These days, her diet is all about nutrition and being aware of what goes in her body. The breakout actress from Love Simple, Patrizia Hernandez is promising to be one brilliant actress. She recently chatted with Self Magazine about her healthy eating habits in order to stay Hollywood fit. As for her workout routine she does a mix of yoga, cardio and strength training. She did admit that while filming she isn’t able to exercise that much but when she has the time, she goes full force. Her favorite exercise is yoga at Yoga To The People, a no-fee studio that only takes donations. She also said that she’ll never do the same workout in a row. She explained,
“For example, I do a lot of cardio, but I’m not in love with it. When I do actually have a running day, I can go through it with full force and actually make it count because I know I’ll have a break before my next full-on cardio session.”
