Christina Aguilera Dances The Weight Off

Christina Aguilera is back in the limelight. After taking some time off to have a baby back in 2008 we’re seeing more of Christina at red carpet events and she’s also got a movie in the works with Cher. She’s always been an avid exerciser and she used to workout 90 minutes a day, five days a week doing traditional cardio and weight training. However, in her new movie Burlesque, she has the role as a cabaret performer so she switched to dance (a Dancing with the Stars-style training schedule) as her form of exercise and the difference in her body shape is amazing. She said,

“Being in shape for the movie just came with working on the movie. The schedule is grueling but it’s been amazing.”

Christina likes her new muscle definition as well as the new phase in her life as an actress. Apart from the dancing she’s changed her eating habits as well. She’s cut out the southern comfort food that she grew up on and has done things like switching to whole wheat instead of white bread and eats lean meats, fruits, veggies and will snack on tuna and bananas which are high-energy foods.
Burlesque hits theaters in November 2010.
