Christina Aguilera’s Workout and Diet for Role in Burlesque Movie

Christina Aguilera is back in the limelight as she prepares for her new role in the movie Burlesque starring alongside Cher. She told In Touch Weekly,

“I’m bringing my A-game and taking it very seriously.”

Even though she’s rehearsing 14 hours a day and does a lot of dancing while on the set of the movie she still manages to schedule two to five weight training sessions a week with her trainer of five years, Tee Sorge. Sorge told the magazine,

“We want to make sure she doesn’t lose her muscle mass or too much weight.”

Sorge explained that she’ll do a 10-minute warm-up on the treadmill before lifting weights including work for the arms, abs and legs. Sorge said,

“Christina does three sets of each exercise and uses weights ranging from five to 15 pounds.”

As for her diet, Sorge said that she has cut out all white foods such as rice and sugar and she has substituted it with whole grains and lean proteins.
