Christina Hendricks: Diet and Exercise

The curvaceous and sultry star of Mad Men, Christina Hendricks, has no intention of losing her curves but she is planning on losing a bit of weight. Previously, some tabloids said she was losing weight for her upcoming marriage but according to Hendricks it’s a lifestyle change. Always boasting a positive body image she recently gave some great diet and exercise tips to the readers of Self magazine.
She explained that growing up with her parents she was fed a lot of comfort food and it wasn’t until she was out and living on her own that she learned how much she loves vegetables. These days she likes cooking with seasonal vegetables and now she is the one who gets her mom to eat veggies and follow healthy recipes. In regard to her recent diet change she said,
“[it's] just for me, for my life. I feel like I need more energy, so I’m trying to stay away from tons of carbs and eat more protein.”
Exercise entails working out with a trainer three times a week and she also does cardio and strength development with her fiance which she thinks makes the hour go by quickly when you have an exercise partner that you love. Overall, Christina Hendricks has been an inspiration to many women as she has taught them to be positive and love their bodies. She explains,
“At first, I thought people were calling me out and it made me feel uncomfortable that they were focused on it,” she admitted. “Then when I realized it was all positive and it was actually helping other people, it started making me feel great.”
