Dancing Treadmill Workout
Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson is not reinventing the wheel, she’s simply jazzing up the treadmill. For those who thought the bulky piece of gym equipment was only for walking and running, think again.
“I developed [this routine] so anyone can take my method anywhere,” Anderson told Maggie Rodriguez on CBS’ The Early Show. “I don’t like it when people use the treadmill in the same way over and over and over because that creates bulk.”
The celebrity trainer, who has worked wonders on actress Gwyneth Paltrow, has created a ‘dancing’ treadmill workout, which consists of very simple moves that target your muscles through different rotations to help create a long, lean and feminine body.
A few of the dance moves include a push up leap (intended to connect your entire body), skipping (not as jolting as running) and side-stepping (tones legs and lifts your butt). You should spend 30 seconds with each move, or put on some music to really get into the workout.
On the show, Anderson also slammed “doctored” photographs of one of her biggest clients, Madonna, saying they simply do not look like the superstar in real life.
