Dancing With The Stars: Weight Loss

Week after week not only celebs but also the dancers on the hit TV show Dancing With The Stars transform their figures from soft to super svelte. And it’s no secret that the show’s intense practices and routines are the real reason behind the slim-down.
“The dancing is the diet, but everyone is different,” professional dancer Karina Smirnoff tells Life & Style magazine. “So if celebrities really want to get the most out of the experience, they implement a healthy diet full of protein.”
The 31-year-old beauty fills her daily diet with egg whites, spinach and tomato for breakfast, fruit for lunch and fish and salad for dinner. The 5-foot-5 dancer weighs only 110 pounds and says she listens to her body because there are foods her system easily digests while there are others that are harder to work off.
Other celebrities who have lost weight on the new season of the reality show are Kelly Osbourne and singer Mya. The 24-yeard-old Osbourne lost 14 pounds during the first 6 weeks of rehearsals and says she can feel how her body is “completely changing”.
Mya on the other hand says she’s not only lost weight, but she’s toned her muscles too.
“My body has gotten more toned,” she told Life & Style when rehearsals for the show began. “I’m seeing a lot more definition, especially in my arms.”
The 30-year-old singer lost 11 pounds in 4 weeks, but still occasionally runs twice a day.
