Donna Karen’s Diet Plan

Like actress Gwyneth Paltrow, fashion designer Donna Karen is also a fan of the Clean Program. While she’s constantly confronted by and measuring skinny models for her runway shows, it seems the 61-year-old designer also wants to look her best. Created by Dr Alejandro Junger, the 21-day detox program claims to restore the body’s natural ability to heal itself by flushing out the toxins that build up in an individual’s system.

Donna Karen’s Diet Plan
The three-week plan consists of two shakes and one meal a day, adding up to between 1 100 and 1 500 calories.

Breakfast
Shake made from brown-rice protein powder, plus herbal supplements in pill form to curb cravings and facilitate fat-burning.

Lunch
Stir-fried chicken and veggies with bucketwheat noodles, plus herbal supplements. Vegetarian option: Cucumber and carrot slices served with hummus, tabbouleh and marinated kale with radish and pine nuts, plus herbal supplements.

Dinner
Shake made from brown-rice protein powder, plus more herbal supplements.

Judging by how little you’re allowed to eat/drink it’s a given that you’d lose weight. But because you’ll more than likely be hungry after the detox, if you don’t watch yourself, you’ll put the pounds right back on pretty quickly after the tree weeks.
