Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet

Of all of the diet trends and fads that the celebrities follow, this one has got to be the silliest of them all. Recently on E! News, there are snippets about various celebrities partaking in Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet. This diet was once only available to Dr. Siegal’s private patients but it seems that he wants a piece of the fitness pie (cookie?) and is now revealing his secret to the world.
Dr. Siegal claims you can eat six cookies a day plus a sensible dinner of 300 to 800 calories and you will lose weight! The ‘magic’ cookies can be used as a healthy snack or as an appetite suppressant. Each daily bag contains six cookies at 90 calories each.
According to E! News, celebrities such as Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Mandy Moore, Guy Ritchie and even Howard Stern have been said to have lost weight on this diet. The first ever Cookie Diet store recently opened in Beverly Hills and celebrities and other well-to-do socialites in the neighborhood have been flocking to the store.
Celebrity Diet Doctor Weigh In…
The irony here is that processed foods are making Americans unhealthy and overweight in the first place. Processed foods such as “diet cookies” will actually result in weight gain and not weight loss.

What a scam artist! Those cookies weight less than 1 oz. or 21 grams each. For 42 cookies he wants $59.
This “phony” doctor also claims that there is a special protein mix in his cookies – milk protein, beef protein, and egg white solids. If he is a “real” doctor, he knows there is nothing special about his protein mix unless he administers “shots” because adults cannot absorb whole protein. All proteins eaten must be broken down as amino acids.
