Evangeline Lilly: The “Lost” Workout

Want a killer body like Lost’s Evangeline Lilly? No problem! Personal trainer Jessica Matthews has put together six moves for Women’s Health magazine that’ll tone and sculpt your arms and shoulders, just like Lilly’s.
While the Canadian actress stays fit by running through jungles (showing off her great triceps as fugitive Kate Austen), you too can recreate your own ‘jungle workout’. Matthews’ routines incorporate basic yoga positions like downward-facing dog and the plank and don’t require gym equipment, which makes working out outdoors trouble-free. The moves don’t only target your upper body, they also improve your balance.
“Bodyweight exercises allow for limitless possibilities. They use a variety of muscle groups and train the body to become more balanced and stable at the joints,” Mathews tells Women’s Health.
All 7 exercises are available on the Women’s Health website. Either watch the video to learn how to perfect the moves or follow the links and read the text format on how to master them – each exercise also includes a tip on how to max the move and make it tougher.

For the best results repeat the entire workout 2 to 3 times a week for 6 to 8 weeks.
