<p>Sunshine, one of the contestants on weight-loss show <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tag/biggest-loser/">The Biggest Loser</a>, shared some of her healthy eating and weight-loss tips recently.</p>
<p>She says what helps her and her fellow contestants is getting up early and working out in the morning before going to work. Knowing that you’ve got your workout done as well as when those feel-good endorphins kick in, it’ll make you feel great for the entire day.<span id="more-9365"></span></p>
<p>Another tip is to pack your lunches for work. Because you’re so busy and there might not always be a healthy option for lunch (think vending machines and fast food chains). So when you pack your own lunch you know what you’re eating and exactly how many calories you’ll be consuming – keeping you in complete control of your weight-loss program.</p>
<p>Sunshine also recommends bringing little dumbbells to work so you can workout at your desk if you can’t get to gym every day.</p>

<p>I always enjoy reading about ridiculous fad diets inspired by celebrities. The latest one is the Air Diet, inspired by Dolce &amp; Gabbana’s campaign featuring <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tag/madonna/">Madonna</a>. Created by the French, the diet is pretty self-explanatory – you eat only air.<span id="more-9362"></span></p>
<p>The biggest and probably only rule of the diet is to eat nothing except water and salt soup. You can, however, do everything else like buying groceries and preparing the food. Setting the table and serving the food. You can even hold it up to your mouth as if you were about to eat it, but then put it back down and not eat it. (Ridiculous hey?!)</p>
<p>Apparently the diet has been around for quite some time, but was made famous by Dolce &amp; Gabbana. According to the Institute for Psychoactive Research in England, the goal is to breathe more by setting aside time every day for concentrated, rhythmical, deep breathing.</p>
<blockquote><p>“Eventually, the effect will spread over the rest of the day, even when the technique is not being consciously performed, and you will be able to breath deeper. Without any change in the rest of your diet or exercise regimen, you will slowly start to lose weight.”</p></blockquote>

<p>In a recent interview she admitted she fell into a depression. She recounted one incident when she had some friends over, <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/holly-madison-diet-of-a-former-playboy-bunny/">Holly Madison </a>and Tiffany Fallon, and it was hard for her because their bodies were so &#8216;hot&#8217;. She was even worried that hubby Hank was going to check them out. She explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I was just hoping Hank didn&#8217;t look at them! Having a different body was such a culture shock. I&#8217;m so used to being hot and fit&#8230;..It wasn&#8217;t that extreme, I did go through some depression.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Kendra has been working hard to lose the weight and she said she still loves her legs and butt but hates the rest of her body. She doesn&#8217;t even like her breasts because she went from a 34C to an E. She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Now that they&#8217;re going down, they&#8217;re a little bigger than I want,&#8221; she says. &#8220;I want to even out my body a little.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The reality star is already contemplating plastic surgery as she wants to look like she did before she had children. Let&#8217;s hope she doesn&#8217;t pull a <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/heidi-pratt-creates-the-heidi-workout/">Heidi Montag</a> and get 10 procedures at once to end up looking like a completely different creature.</p>

She recently told reporters that her most emotional experience thus far has been cleaning out the closet and buying new clothes. She&#8217;s trying hard not to buy a lot of expensive clothing because she keeps losing weight and has to buy more.<span id="more-9347"></span></p>
<p>When asked what a typical day looks like for her now she said she exercises before going to work to get that over and done with and she is sure to pack her meals and snacks for the entire day even if she&#8217;s not leaving the house for the day. She explains,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;&#8230;..and if you do that [pack meals] every day of your life whether you’re going to work or even when you stay at home, you pack and you know exactly what you’re eating for the day. Then you don&#8217;t even have to think about it.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>When asked if she had any good food tips she suggested using Greek yogurt as a staple because it&#8217;s a good substitute for fatty foods such as sour cream and mayonnaise and she loves to eat it for breakfast. She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I eat that [Greek yogurt] with blueberries and Kashi Golean Crunch cereal, and it’s my favorite meal.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Once Cheryl gets to her maintenance weight she&#8217;s looking forward to a shopping spree at Macy&#8217;s and Dillards; stores she has never able to shop in before because of her size. Good luck, Cheryl!</p>

Now that&#8217;s a title to be proud of!  She is one curvilicious woman and according to celebrity trainer Ramona Braganza we can all have Kim&#8217;s booty by incorporating lunges, squats and step-ups. Of course those are the most dreaded in any girl&#8217;s workout but the results are fantastic. Here are Braganza&#8217;s three suggestions:<span id="more-9340"></span></p>
<p><em>Weighted Squats</em><br />
Hold a dumbbell in each hand and while keeping the weight in the back and heels squat down to the chair position and then stand back up. Be sure to squeeze your glutes when coming up.<br />
Do 10 to 12 reps.</p>
<p><em>Single-Leg Lunges</em><br />
Have one foot behind on a bench and the other on the floor and lunge down keeping back straight. Hold weights in each hand for extra intensity.<br />
Do 10 to 12 reps on each leg.</p>
<p><em>Step-Ups</em><br />
Have one foot in front of you on a bench and the other on the floor and step up on to the bench so that you&#8217;re standing on it, and then step back down. The higher the bench the harder the workout.<br />
Do 10 to 12 reps on each leg.</p>

<p>The 31-year-old may look good now but she is still struggling with her body image and wishes she had long and lean legs. Even though she exercises she has to be careful to not bulk up like Rambo and instead wishes she had &#8216;gazelle-like&#8217; muscles.  She continues,</p>

<p>Mylenee stays in shape by walking a lot, playing with her daughter and does plenty of sit-ups.</p>

Myleene looks fab.. one area of caution would be the pasta for dinner. Portion control with pasta is key and I would up the greens for dinner with perhaps a salad or grill veggies.</p>

Over the weekend while at the Oscar&#8217;s, <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/oprah-weight-gain-and-hypothyroidism/">Oprah Winfrey</a> sung her praises and said that Gabourey will have a long and successful acting career. Granted, if Oprah&#8217;s on your side it doesn&#8217;t matter if you weigh 100 pounds or 400 pounds, because heck, you&#8217;ve got Oprah. But there is already talk in tinsel town as people are wondering if someone morbidly obese like Gabourey can get anymore roles. For example, on his radio show Howard Stern said,<span id="more-9321"></span></p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;There’s the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen. She is enormous. Everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business, and she’s never going to be in another movie.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>He continued the discussion with co-host <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/robin-quivers-on-the-lemonade-diet/">Robin Quivers</a> and said that Oprah was a liar for saying Gabourey will have a brilliant career because she&#8217;s the &#8217;size of a planet&#8217;. Perhaps he&#8217;s right. After the obese Nikki Blonsky performed alongside John Travolta and <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/michelle-pfeiffer-exercise-and-health/">Michelle Pfeiffer</a> in <em>Hairspray</em> everyone thought her career was going to take off, and she hasn&#8217;t done anything since. However, Gabourey has already been casted to star opposite Zoe Kravitz in <em>Yelling to the Sky</em> and she has a recurring role in the Showtime series, <em>The C Word</em>, with Laura Linney.</p>
<p>What Howard Stern said was a little mean but Gabourey Sibide, regardless of her self-love philosphy, is morbidly obese. Surely the Hollywood bug will bite her soon and she&#8217;ll get her own weight loss reality show!</p>

Stand holding a barbell in each hand with palms facing up. Curl barbells toward your chest and back down for one rep.<br />
Do three sets of 12 to 15 reps.</p>
<p><em>The 21s</em><br />
Start as the same exercise above but when you&#8217;re in the curl only curl up until arms are parallel to the ground. Do not go all the way up to the chest.<br />
Do one set of 21 reps.<br />
Then do the exercise again but start at the half-way point and curl all the way up to the chest.<br />
Do one set of 21 reps.</p>
<p><em>Triceps Kickback</em><br />
Holding a dumbbell in one hand, place the opposite knee on a bench. Pull the arm with the dumbbell straight back and up to your side. Then lower back to the starting position.<br />
Do three sets of 15 reps.</p>
<p>Incorporate these three exercises into your regular workout routine just three times a week and you will soon see results.</p>

But he made it through and developed a baseline level of fitness and shares his fundamental fitness tips.<span id="more-9304"></span></p>
<p>1. Start small<br />
Sean says anybody can be fit but you have to give your body time to adjust and take on reasonable goals. Don’t overwork your body. Only once you’ve reached your goals can you begin to make your workout more challenging.</p>
<p>2. Embrace unsteadiness<br />
Sean works out with weights, but doesn’t use a belt – this way you are forced to focus on keeping your midsection tight and your lower back in its natural position. Every exercise you do this way works your core, which strengthens your midsection and endurance levels.</p>
<p>3. Amp up your reps<br />
Stick to your usual repetition ranges, but occasionally challenge yourself with an ambitious one of say 50 to 60 reps, depending on what you’re doing. But if you feel you can’t do another rep with good form, rest a little and then continue.</p>
<p>4. Lift lighter and better</p>
<blockquote><p>“I see so many people in the gym just slinging weight around,” Sean says. “You can accomplish more if you squeeze the reps out in perfect form, instead of going big and trying to kill it every time.”</p></blockquote>
<p>5. Play anything<br />
Try new moves, add a little more weights or reps, but if you’re bored don’t continue doing the same exercises or you’ll plateau. You can take your workout outside the gym by giving a new sport a try.</p>

<p><strong>Squats</strong><br />
With feet a little wider than your hips, a straightened back straight and lifted chest, bend your knees as if to sit in a chair, and then straighten. Do 3 sets of 12, but as the week’s go by (or if you need a challenge sooner) add 3 to 5-pound dumbbells.</p>
<p><strong>Walking Lunges</strong><br />
Standing with legs hip-width apart, step forward with your right leg – but don’t overextend your stride. Bending your knee, push down into the stride with your body. Now bring your left leg forward to stand. Next, repeat the step forward with your left leg. We all have different strides, so don’t count the number of lunges, but rather the distance – you’ll need to do 10 to 15 yards in each direction.</p>
<p><strong>Step-ups</strong><br />
To shake things up a bit and focus on your thighs, a series of steps can help them. Face a bench and lift one leg onto it. Then lift the other leg to meet it. But don’t rest that leg on the bench, because you have to return it to the starting position for one rep. Do two sets of 10 reps on each leg.</p>
