Flavia Cacace: Diet and Workout

International dancing sensation Flavia Cacace is well known now for her role as one of the professional dancers on Britain’s Strictly Come Dancing, similar to the US’s Dancing With The Stars.

Besides dancing, the Italian Flavia enjoys using her Trixter X-Bike (indoor cycling bike) to ride at home, but she enjoys all kinds of other varied exercise methods as well and whenever the star is feeling down or unmotivated to exercise, she reminds herself that she is in control and that she would rather have a good day than a bad one.

And most of the  time that works…I also feel the more I exercise the more motivated I feel,  I think that’s the key, you have to start somewhere and then the benefits  keep you motivated and more positive,” she says.

Additionally, keeping fit means eating healthy and, although the dancer’s diet is varied, she shares what a typical day might look like for her as far as meals go.

  • Breakfast:  real Italian coffee with semi-skimmed milk, cereal, and toast
  • Lunch: bowl of pasta
  • Dinner:  fish or chicken with salad

“I have an occasional snack when I  need a burst of energy,” she says. “And I enjoy Maxitone difinity bars or shakes which aid toning together with a balanced diet.”

Flavia tries to buy “less naughty foods” when she shops so that she will not be tempted by them at home and advises others to do the same, though she says an occasional treat is okay. She also advises others to stay active any way possible.

And this means not just exercising but even keeping busy round the house, I sometimes get more worn out doing house work than anything else!”

to be as nippy and as energetic as she seems during her performances, one needs 'energy rich diet; i like the fact she seems to eat more varied and richer meals in the morning and boost the energy at lunch time while evening is left for recovery, low carb foods. i would love to see the portions though; last time i saw her dancing during her Midnight Tango she seemed super slim compared to any other women on the stage – who clearly don't seem to get bothered by snacks here and there… (she definitely flashed the fastest pair of legs…
