Gisele Bundchen: Pregnancy Diet & Exercise

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen gave birth to her son Benjamin in late December. The 29-year-old bravely gave birth in a bathtub at her house in Boston instead of going to a hospital. She wanted to experience the whole transformation of pregnancy and birthing in it’s most natural state so to prepare for the birth she practiced meditation.

“And once he was born, I never felt so empowered as looking at him and thinking, Oh, my God, we did it together!”

Gisele said she exercised regularly right up until the time her baby was due. She said,

“I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week.”

In addition, she chose to be ‘mindful’ about what she ate during pregnancy and didn’t want to be like other women who choose to be ‘garbage disposals’ while pregnant. Gisele stayed out of the limelight while pregnant because she didn’t want the attention. She only gained a total of 30 pounds but since she sees pregnancy as a ‘sacred moment’ she wanted to stay out of the public eye.
