Halle Berry on Diet and Exercise
Halle Berry, the glamorous Academy Award winning actress recently did a photo shoot with Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. Of course, she looks incredible in the photos, but she also had some interesting words of wisdom when it comes to diet, exercise and losing baby weight. When the 42-year-old was asked how her body has changed since giving birth to Nahla, she replied,
“Having a baby takes so much from you. It’s the most glorious thing you’ll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious! So now I’m having to exercise, eat a little bit differently, take a lot more vitamins.”
During the interview Halle was asked her opinion on actors in Hollywood who say they don’t have to workout and they are naturally thin and fit. She explained,
“God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s questionable if they are. I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital.”
People with diabetes have to take great care in eating the appropriate foods at the right time and in certain amounts. Be it a Hollywood star or not it’s admirable that she mentioned this and recognizes the necessary lifestyle changes that are mandatory for living with the disease. We do however see that Halle is just like the rest of us and does have her weaknesses because when asked if she ever goes on a food binge, she responded,
“I like Doritos. I’m usually watching The Biggest Loser eating Doritos.”
