Isla Fisher’s Baby-Weight Loss
The cute and bubbly star of Confessions of a Shopaholic, Isla Fisher had to quickly drop her baby weight to prepare for her leading role in this hit movie. Isla told Us Magazine that in order to drop the 60 pounds the producer of the movie, Jerry Bruckheimer hired her a trainer to get in shape within four months time! Being that the whole idea of the movie is about wearing fabulous designer clothes it was pertinent that she had a fabulous body to put into the designer threads. When asked about her workout, Isla replied,
“I just tried my best. But actually I think it was breast-feeding. So to all those men out there, if you want to lose weight, get breast-feeding!”
However, it wasn’t all that easy for Isla. During filming she was vigilantly watched by her trainer and from the sounds of it, she wasn’t too happy about that.
“He wanted to come round (to my house) every single day and I couldn’t have that. So I got it down to three times a week, but he was all about lifestyle. There was a list of things I couldn’t eat – it was so long, there was nothing left that I could eat! It was awful. I had to lead this double life where I was pretending I was being really good, when secretly I had cakes stuffed in my anorak pockets and I had to shove them into my mouth when he was turned the other way. One time, I’d eaten already french fries and a hamburger and had a really awful day. I confessed that I’d eaten one bread roll – I lied about everything else – and he almost cried. And I thought, ‘Oh no, imagine if he had any idea what I was actually getting up to behind his back!’”
