Jake Pavelka’s Workout

If you’re a fan of the latest season of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love, you’ll know that the hunky Jake Pavelka looks after his body. The 31-year-old commercial pilot may be living through the most drama-filled season of the reality TV show so far, but he still finds time to work out with his trainer in Dallas three to four times a week.

It’s a good thing Jake has his workouts to fall back on because they’re great stress relievers, especially after one of the contestants was kicked off the show for “behaving inappropriately” with one of the producers. He recently told Ok! magazine that if you don’t make time to exercise, your body will feel the strain at some point.

When his in the gym with his trainer, Jake focuses on isometric and biometric training using his own body weight instead of too many free-weights. He does lots of push-ups, pull-ups, leg lifts and hurl throws in what he calls reversing his bodyweight.

“I have a weird shake I drink,” he told Ok! magazine about his diet. “In a blender I put two cups of uncooked oatmeal, a scoop of peanut butter, Spark [a protein shake ingredient] and water. It’s 700 to 750 fat-free, cholesterol-free calories!”
