
Actress Jennifer Garner is the artistic ambassador for Save the Children. Save the Children is a nonprofit organization that educates kids on eating right and also gets the proper foods to these kids who have extra needs. In a recent interview Jennifer gave some tips on healthy snacks for kids. She said,
“Snacks are important. They are the fourth meal of the day and you gotta have them. If you don’t your blood sugar goes way down and your fighting your metabolism all day and especially if you’re a kid you need the brain power from nutritious healthy snacks.”
When it comes to getting kids invested in the idea of healthy snacking Jennifer suggested to make it delicious, let the kids help make the snack in the kitchen and have them go with you to the farmer’s market to help pick the fruits and veggies.
