Jessica Biel: Workout Routine

Jessica Biel is always looking toned and healthy. Now I know why. In addition to eating well here’s what Jessica workout is like courtesy of her trainer Jason Walsh and Us weekly mag.

Jessica Biel’s Workout

Jason recommends a 30 minute interval-training regimen, four days a week.

Monday and Friday
Warm-up: Light cardio on the treadmill, bike or elliptical. (5 minutes)
Circuit work: Alternate 10 reps each of 2 strength-training moves (choose from walking lunges, bent-over dumb bell rows, squat to press, plank, hanging leg lifts and back extensions) with one minute of moderate cardio; repeat three times. Alternate one minute of cardio with another two exercises; repeat three times. Alternate one minute of cardio with last two exercises; repeat three times. Beginners use 5 – 10 pound weights; veterans, 15-20 pounds 18 minutes.
Intense Cardio: Alternate one minute of high speed (3.5 to 5 mph on a treadmill) at moderate resistance (an incline of 3 -5) with one minute of low speed (2.5 mph) at low resistance (incline of 1 or 2). Repeat set three times. Six minutes.
Cool down: Low speed walk. one minute

Tuesday and Thursday
Same as above, but substitute strength training moves: Squat jumps, pushups, sit-ups, wide-grip lat pull downs, side bridges, side bridges and crunches on the fitness ball.

Wednesday
Rest

Saturday and Sunday
45 minutes of your favorite sport.

    I am similarly built (to jessica biel) and what are some good work outs for the butt and toning it.

    Good butt workout is squats and single leg squats. AS you get better at them, start holding free weights. it works like a charm.

    so im a heavier bi-racial(white/mexican) woman. Im pretty curvy even when Im thinner. Would I do the same workout that you listed above or do I need to so more? Im 5′7” and weigh 227. What are your suggestions for me. Thanks-ash

    I’ve always admired Jessica Biel’s body, she is in the best shape just toned perfectly. So i’m looking forward to trying out her routine! Wish me luck ;)

    Hi I am an African American female… my mom is bi-racial (caucasian/black) n my dad is black…I’m 5′6 and weigh 155….I kno I’m not over wight but I have gained some…I would love to get Jessica Biels body…would this workout routine work for me….I also would love her but…lol

    that speed (3.5 to 5mph) hardly seeems likely. i’m a forty year old man and an ex-smoker, and i run 7.5mph for 4 miles on the treadmill each day. granted i’m in very good shape. visible abs and all that. but biel is in her twenties and in AMAZING shape. women do seem to run more slowly than men (have no idea why). and incline does change speed a lot, but my guess is that biel runs around 8mph with no incline and 5-6mph with an incline of three. the girl is amazingly fit.

    bike is great for the butt, but doesn’t burn calories. sprinting is great. sprint at between 12mph and 15mph for fifteen secs.

    weightlifting burns calories. lots, but sets have to be no more than 7 reps. 12-15 rep sets are useless.
