Jillian Michaels: Holiday Diet Tips

The Biggest Loser fitness guru Jillian Michaels isn’t going to give us a rest over the holiday season. Just because we’ll be headed to plenty of holiday parties with tasty treats doesn’t mean we can throw in the towel and eat whatever we want. When it comes to food Jillian says we have to be sure to watch out for ALL of those winter time treats. She said,
“The holidays aren’t about specific bad foods; they are about stress eating and overindulgence. Be sensible and enjoy your favorite foods in moderation.”
When it comes to exercise she recommends fitting in exercise whenever possible. Pop in a fitness DVD, play ball with the kids, go for a walk and anything else that could burn a few extra calories. Jilian explained,
“Try going for a walk or a jog. Do jumping jacks or climb some stairs. Try push ups, lunges, pull ups, sit ups, squats for resistance exercises.”
It may not be the most exciting part of your December holidays but it will be well worth it when your clothes still fit in January!
