Jordin Sparks weight controversy
Meme Roth, self-appointed head of her own political action group - the National Action Against Obesity, created a firestorm of controversy on Fox Network recently, by declaring the newest American Idol winner Jordan Sparks, “clearly has extra weight on her.” She goes on to say “when I see someone like Jordin, I see high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and compromised health.”
In her crusade against obesity, Meme Roth has taken on the Girls Scouts (for their cookies), Moms (to take charge of their children’s eating habits), schools (to stop serving junk food) and Redbook magazine (for profiling plus sized women in an article “we love your body from size 2 to 20″). Somewhat of a publicity hound (any publicity is good publicity), it looks like a dig about anything “American Idol” was too hard to pass up.
Jordin is taking the high road, saying in Us “they should just get over it.”

I think Jordan Sparks looks just fine. She doesn’t look over weight and looks good in her clothes. Why does everyone has to look like a waif and be a size 0 to be considered a normal weight?
