Julianne Hough’s Summer Diet and Exercise Tips

Professional ballroom dancer and country music singer Julianne Hough has been on the road with country music legend George Strait for his summer tour in the US. Being on the road means there is no gym near by and it’s difficult to stick to a schedule, but Julianne likes to stay active so she has taken a different approach to exercise. Instead of lifting weights and running on the treadmill she has taken her exercise outdoors and gets the whole crew involved in sports. She said,
“We’ve been playing wiffle ball and ultimate Frisbee and stuff.”
Julianne has also got her dog Lexi in the action who is by her side as she runs the stairs at the amphitheaters were they hold concerts.
“With [my dog] Lexi, we go up and down the stairs at the amphitheater and run across the lawn.”
This is a brilliant idea. If a 150 pound person runs stadium stairs for approximately 15 minutes he/she will burn around 250 calories. Julianne also gave some quick tips on weight control. She said,
“My biggest thing is just don’t eat too much, finish when you’re full, eat when you want and then you’ll be fine.”
It’s obvious that Julianne Hough practices what she preaches. She not only looks great but she believes in a healthy and active lifestyle which will take her far.
