Katherine Heigel: Kettlebells Workout

Katherine Heigl, the star of Grey’s Anatomy and this summer’s romantic comedy hit The Ugly Truth, is dedicated to her workouts. Just before her wedding she started working out with trainer Missy Beaver and since then the two of them workout together twice a week to keep in shape for Grey’s Anatomy. However, in order to prepare for her role in The Ugly Truth they stepped up the workouts to four times a week. Beaver told InStyle Magazine that they do Kettlebells because they work faster than putting in hours at the gym. She said,
“With Katherine’s busy schedule, Kettlebell workouts are perfect because in 20-minute sessions you get a cardio, strength and flexibility workout that would take hours at the gym. On the days we didn’t train together, Katherine would do 20 swings with the Kettlebell and 5 one-legged squats on each side,”
She continued on to say that Kettlebells workouts are challenging and intense but you always get positive results and those results were evident as can be seen on The Ugly Truth where Heigel looks exceptionally svelte.
