Katherine Heigl’s Workout and Diet

A-list celeb trainer, Henry Pasternak, got Katherine Heigl in the best shape of her life for a revealing love scene in her new surprise hit Knocked Up. Pasternak, who has toned up Halle Berry, Jessica Simpson and Sheryl Crow, tells People magazine his workout for Katherine consisted of cardio and circuit training 25- 50 minutes, 5 times a week for 6 weeks prior to filming. On set, she continued working out by jumping rope and lifting dumbbells.
Katherine Heigl’s Diet
She ate Pasternak’s 5-Factor diet of 5 high-protein, 5 high fiber meals a day, that also included one weekly cheat day. (Sample 5-Factor menu: French toast with ricotta cheexe, Tex Mex chicken salad and sea bass).
Follow up
One year after filming Knocked Up, she is still working out regularly. She tells People “I used to have back pain. Suddenly, my body is supporting itself the way it’s supposed to.” She gushes, “My god, I can’t believe this is my body!” How did this happen?”
Her keys to success include:
- Similar to Janet Jackson and Jessica Alba, she uses a moderately high-protein diet that helps with weight loss and weight maintenance.
- She continues to work-out regularly which is critical to successful weight maintenance.
