
How does the pop singing sensation Katy Perry keep fit while on her current tour in Europe? She jumps rope. The singer who admits, “I Kissed a Girl,” also admits she loves to jump rope.
“I hate working out, but I love jumping rope. There’s a rhythm. It’s like dancing.”
And from the way it sounds, she knows how to do it right. She knows all of the correct moves to burn all of those unwanted calories.
“I can double jump; I can cross. I can do all of it. I look like Rocky when I jump rope.”
A jump rope is a great piece of equipment to add to your personal gym because it’s cheap, light weight and easy to pop in your suitcase and take along while on holiday. Even better, according to the National Institute of Health, jumping rope burns approximately 750 calories an hour. Other celebrity jump ropers are Katherine Heigl and Tiffany. Double Dutch anyone?
