Kendra Wilkinson: Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

Former Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson gave an exclusive interview with Ok magazine last week on her complete diet and exercise plan to melt of the post-baby weight. She gave birth in December and has since lost 20 pounds but she still has approximately 30 more to go to get back to her desired weight.

In the interview she was sure to drop plenty of name brands when it comes to her eating habits including Lucky Charms, Special K, Honey Nut Cheerios, Nature Valley Nut Clusters, Applebee’s and even McDonald’s. The majority of those foods aren’t the best for you as they are either loaded with fat and preservatives but she did have one yummy smoothie recipe containing Special K cereal (just a tablespoon’s worth) that she shared with readers.

Special K-Endra Smoothie
4 large strawberries
Half a cup of skim milk or Greek yogurt
1 ripe banana
5 ice cubes
1 tbsp. Special-K cereal

In a blender combine it all until it’s yummy smooth.

Here’s what Kendra had to say about her treat,

“I love smoothies! If I need to do something really quick, I’ll make a smoothies I’ll put Specail K in it – and there’s my breakfast!”

Smoothies are a great way to lose weight when taken as a meal replacement. My recommendations for her smoothies are to get rid of the cereals and replace the milk with water. A healthier alternative is to add ground flax to boost the fiber content as well as the Omega-3 content. Also the banana adds a nice creamy consistency so you won’t miss the milk at all.

It is reasonably healthy weight reduction recommendations allthough I find it difficult to agree with everthing in this particular blog post.
