Kim Basinger: weight loss and diet

Kim Basinger enlisted the services of celeb trainer Kathy Kaehler to get in top form for her upcoming movie, While She was Out, to be released in 2008. In the latest issue of Viv Mag, Kaehler reveals “Kim’s training was about strength and making her totally cut.”
Kim Basinger: Diet Plan
Kim likes her food unprocessed and in “its most natural state.” During her workout days Kim consumed between 1,500 and 2,000 calories per day.
Breakfast – 2 boiled eggs with a piece of whole wheat toast and small bowl of sliced strawberries
Snack – Small handful of almonds
Lunch – Kale sauteed with olive oil and garlic with tofu or fish
Snack – Slice of whole wheat toast with 1 teaspoon of almond butter
Dinner – Sashimi with steamed veggies
Beverages – Water, green tea and the occasional glass of wine.
Kim Basinger: Workout Plan
Just in case you thought getting ready for a movie was easy, Kim’s training plan included 6 hour long workouts per week. It includes continually changing cardio and strength training work. “You never know what comes next, but you are guaranteed to sweat, work your heart, burn calories and tighten and tone your muscles” says Kaehler. Two easier workouts are included each week to give Kim’s body a chance to recover. Kim’s gym work included work on the Gravity Training System, touted to be the “Lexus of total-body gym systems.”
I’ll spare you the details of her intensive workout. Suffice it to say don’t try this at home as this type of intensive workout is designed to obtain short term body sculpting results and is not recommended by Kaehler for more than a couple months. I’m sure it includes some watered down versions of her intensive routines.

At 53, I’m sure all Kim’s hard work will have her looking A-list fabulous in her upcoming movie. However it looks like stress over her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Alec Baldwin is taking a toll, judging from this recent pic posted on JustJared.com

I think she looks lean & athletic as well as Beautiful. Her dedication to being the best actor she can be is to her credit. I can’t wait to see this movie!!
