Kourtney Kardashian: Portion-Controlled Diet
Kourtney Kardashian is hard at working getting back into shape after having her son in December. She’s been getting tips from sisters Kim and Khloe, a little bit of help from mom and dad and of course following a diet and exercise plan. Her step-dad Bruce Jenner told Ok Magazine,
“She’s just kind of getting started with the exercise. She was on the treadmill, just walking, getting it going, while little Mason was sleeping.”
Walking is a great exercise for a new mom as it doesn’t put any pressure on the uterus and you can walk at a rate that is comfortable and not feel as if you’re being pushed. As for Kourtney’s diet plan she has decided to limit her portions so that she’s not depriving herself of cravings nor of any nutrients. Dr. Lisa Young, the author of the The Portion Teller Plan: The No Diet Reality Guide to Eating, Cheating, and Losing Weight Permanently, gave some portion tips that Kourtney could follow:
Fruits
When it comes to bananas stick to one cup, but eat all the berries you want.
Bread
Kourtney loves bagels so Dr. Young advises a half a bagel or the mini bagels that are approximately yo-yo size.
Snacks
Insiders say that Kourtney is eating loads of sushi but she should probably stick to two rolls assuming that one roll is six pieces. Try for a size like a deck of cards.
Pasta
The Kardashians love their homemade spaghetti. It’s ok to eat as long as it’s veggie based and is the portion size of a baseball.
Sweets
Frozen yogurt, yum yum yum. Go for the smallest size sold or a cupped hand equivalent.
