Krista Vernoff Writes Diet Book

Krista Vernoff is the Golden Globe winning and Emmy-nominated writer and executive producer of Grey’s Anatomy. After her pregnancy she had a hard time shedding the 40 pounds she gained while pregnant so she enlisted the help of Az Ferguson to design a diet and workout for busy people with limited time.
Krista said that while working on the set she was surrounded by smart people who were eating bad food and thinking of thousands of excuses not to workout. Her new book, The Game On! Diet: Kick Your Friend’s Butt While Shrinking Your Own, is to get people motivated to lose weight by organizing opposing teams, setting goals and then competing to earn points. Points are earned for doing daily exercise and following healthy meal plans. Likewise, Krista wasn’t the only one to lose weight but also other people she worked with on Grey’s Anatomy. The book is said to be fun, effective and Krista’s humor keeps you motivated through out the process. The book is out now for $15.

Saw Krista and Az on GMA back in July. Within a month, I was playing my first game… Three 4-week games and a mini game (2-weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas) later, I have lost 50 pounds, have about 20 more pounds to go. We have had a total of 29 different players – some playing multiple games… most very happy with the game. Getting ready to start another game… Thank you
