LuAnn de Lesseps Gives Party Diet Tips

by Betsy on Celebs on March 31, 2010

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of Real Housewives of New York, recently gave some diet tips that are not only good but also gracious. Like any good Countess, LuAnn knows how to be sensible about dieting and how to pull it off when at parties or any other private function. She gave three rules to beat temptation when going to a party.

First off, be sure to eat before arriving to the event. It will be easier to say no to those tempting foods if your stomach is already full. She explained,

“Party food is supposed to be tempting and fun; you won’t make good food choices if you are starving.”

Another good tip is to remember that dieting is a private matter and doesn’t need to be discussed with friends. There’s no reason to critique your choices or anybody’s elses while at the party. It’s called good manners and etiquette and it will make you feel better about yourself if you keep your lips tight and hold off on diet chatter.

Last but not least the Countess suggests to make a choice about what you want to eat and still allow yourself something good. For example, if you want wine, skip the bread but if you want the bread then be sure to skip the wine. She explains,

“It’s one or the other. I personally choose the wine.”

Celeb Diet Doc Says…
Good tips.. especially about eating beforehand. Fill up on an apple to cut down on the junk food you’ll wind up eating later at a party.
