Marco Borges’ Holiday Fitness Tips
Marco Borges, the celebrity trainer who has worked with Beyonce, Jay-Z and Gwen Stefani shared his holiday get-fit tips with the readers of US Magazine. In December many of us toss diet and exercise out the window and come January 1st not only do we have the New Year’s hangover but a few extra pounds around the middle as well. Try to incorporate some of Marco’s ideas into your daily activities and you’ll enter 2010 with a smile on your face.
1. Walk the Mall – Before holiday shopping take some laps around the mall to burn extra calories and get the heart going.
2. Housework = Workout – If you’re having friends over for a holiday party take advantage of cleaning time and put some elbow grease into your house cleaning.
3. Unwind – Reduce stress by doing some crunches and sit-ups right before going to bed. Doing less than five minutes worth will actually better your quality of sleep.
4. Jog Your Memory - Go for a morning jog to clear your head and gather your thoughts for the busy day ahead.
5. Let Loose – Dance, dance, dance. Practice your dance moves at home before going out to the holiday parties. 30 minutes of dance can burn 200 to 400 calories.

I used to love walking the mall for exercise. Then I would shop after it opened.
Those 5 tips are great. Another thing I do is park further away from the store so I get more exercise walking to and from. Its the little things that add up.
