Marissa Miller on Diet & Fitness
Supermodel Marissa Miller tells all in a recent interview and photo shoot with Ok! Magazine. The 31-year-old says that when she’s home in California she’ll do pilates, boxing and even surf sometimes. She does her own cooking while at home and she is sure to eat vegetables at every meal. In addition, she keeps away from white starches like bread and pasta and will instead go for brown rice and potatoes.
But when it comes to traveling while working she has to be consistent in order to maintain her svelte figure so she has to do some careful planning. She said,
“I bring nutrition bars with me in case I’m in a pinch and can’t get a salad or something fresh.”
Because she is normally good with her diet she doesn’t feel guilty when she goes for the occasional cheeseburger and fries because she knows that 90% of the time she eats well. The Victoria’s Secret Angel also confessed that she used to be insecure about her body and that being in the modeling business has helped her become more comfortable as she is used to modeling swimsuits and lingerie.
“When I started in the modeling business, I had a curvy figure and that whole androgynous look was in. All the others girls were completely flat, but I learned to embrace my curves. It’s so important to love your body and work with what you have and know that everybody has their own beauty.”
