Melissa Joan Hart: Diet on Dancing with the Stars

Melissa Joan Hart lost 42 pounds after her last pregnancy, and now that she is a contestant on Dancing with the Stars she is bound to lose more weight. She told OK Magazine that she is a bit nervous about showing off her legs in some of the short dresses but she hopes to lose a little bit of weight in order to feel comfortable in her costumes and get ‘dancer legs.’ When asked if she wants to lose weight while on the show, she replied,
“I hope that happens! I lost a lot this summer, but your diet is just terrible when you move. You just don’t eat anything, and then it’s 3 p.m. and you’re like, “I’m starving! Pizza!” Bad stuff. So I’ve had to try to get it back on track now to get my energy up for dancing. Also, there’s definitely been too much coffee.”
Hart also revealed what she’s eating while on the show: She’s eating six small meals a day. The morning starts with a protein shake with some banana and fiber to make it more filling and then meals such as chicken wraps or chicken tacos through out the day. As for snacks she’ll have some almonds or rice milk and almond milk but she is sure to avoid starches and dairy.
