Michaela Conlin: Diet and Exercise

Michaela Conlin plays the role of Angela in the hit series, Bones. She recently spoke with Self Magazine about some of her health and beauty secrets. As for her skin, she thanks her Irish and Chinese background but when it comes to her body she has to watch what she eats and she sweats just like the rest of us. Michaela is practically an exercise queen, she likes to do yoga, dance classes, weight training and she works out with celebrity trainer, Juliette Kaska. She has even recently started taking karate classes too.

Michaela credits her recent diet change to befriending Bones star, Emily Deschanel. Emily introduced her to vegan foods but she does still squeeze in a burger and a mini-Snickers bar from time to time. Because of her long days on the set she will eat many small meals during the day instead of three large ones and whenever she has the munchies she’ll reach for peanut butter and apples.

Remember vegan is not always healthy.. Many vegans eat very unhealthy diets.  The key is avoid processed foods… whether you’re vegan, herbivore, pescitarian.. that is the key to better health and weight loss!
