R&B singer Monica is best known for her hit duet, The Boy is Mine with singer, Brandy. She has a new album coming out soon under the guidance of the legendary Clive Davis so it is sure to be a hit. Recently she opened up to Sister 2 Sister Magazine to talk about her new album as well as her family, fame and health.
First off, she was asked how she lost weight after the birth of her two children. Monica responded that she had to lose the weight not necessarily for vanity purposes but because she had high blood pressure at the young age of 28. With a high blood pressure history on both sides of her family plus a father with diabetes, she became committed to exercise and changing her diet. She explained,
“I’m learning about it [diabetes]. It’s me now wanting to exercise and just learn to eat better; it’s not for vanity purposes. They put me on medication but I’ve been off those meds for a week. I’m changing my eating patterns. I was addicted to Lawry’s Seasoning Salt on my soul food—addicted to Old Bay seasoning. That stuff was killing me slowly.”
No word on when her new album comes out but it promises to be a good one.

her services. I paid for you to re do the
"Miss Thang" album over with RCA Records and
you need to take her picture off your
