It might come as a surprise, but most celebrities’ fitness DVDs aren’t selling as well as they had expected. Even though a lot of celebrities have managed to lose tens of pounds through intensive workout regimes, that don’t necessarily mean that those regimes will work on other people.
In a recent poll ran by a marketing specialist, over 46% of 2,000 women aged 18-35 said they aren’t fans of Natalie Cassidy’s Then and Now fitness DVD and that they find it the least helpful from all celebrity weight loss DVDs. Natalie’s DVD was closely followed by Katie Price’s Jordan Workout DVD that the respondents were also dissatisfied with.
On the other hand, the survey, run by Mark Coxhead, head of marketing at myprotein.com, revealed that Davina McCall’s Davina Fit is the “most satisfactory” fitness routine.
“Although they can be a good way of putting the fun into home exercise, celebrity workout DVDs rarely produce lasting results, as people simply don’t enjoy having to go through the rigmarole of watching the same programme day in, day out,” explained Coxhead.
Coxhead advises people to make long-term changes to their diet and exercise routine if they want to lose weight and also keep it off for a long time. Furthermore, he says there’s no magic weight loss solution.
“No DVD, whatever its claim, can contain a miracle weight loss solution,” he said. “The celebrities endorsing the product have undoubtedly lost weight through a great deal of effort, no matter what they tell you during the workout!”
Almost half of the 2,000 women that participated in the survey confessed they have only used the purchased DVDs once.

The top four are actually very good, I don't know about the Danielle Lloyd one or the Coleen one as I havent tried it, but the others are good also, I have many so I know a good one when I see it, in particular the Hannah Waterman one is brilliant for a workout, so I don't know why thats even near the list. Although I think that the DVDs made by people like Tracy Anderson and Barry Jay tend to be better workouts, the celebrity ones are good too.
Argh, glad someone voted her as the worst. Honestly, these fitness dvd's are just a flash in a pan, simply to line up their purses.
Plus remember people, you don't have the luxury of a personal trainer motivating you daily.
